90s Star Trek Tropes

Types of Episodes:

  • Hey, WTF is that thing / is that anomaly / are these people / are these readings? (rumble RUMBLE BANG)
  • Someone gets infected with something that MIRACULOUSLY got through the transporter's biofilter and almost wipes out the crew.
  • Something innocent on the ship malfunctions in a catastrophic way and almost wipes out the crew.
  • Someone is being controlled by someone or some entity and almost wipes out the crew.
  • Someone aboard does something untypically stupid or erratic and ends up almost wiping out the crew.
  • Someone, that has been collaborating turns out to have an ulterior motive... and almost wipes out the crew.
  • Someone gets trapped / stranded / wrongfully accused of something somewhere and needs to be rescued.
  • Alternative reality stuff.
  • Dramatic reveal of a borg cube.
  • Q shenanigans.

  • "You have entered our space / ancient holy thing." (PEW PEW PEW)
  • "Maybe I can modulate the shields to (MacGuffin) resonance."
  • "I can't remember." / "You probably can't remember."
  • "Someone is doing a (MacGuffin)." - "Shut it down." - "I can't. I've been locked out."
  • "Core temperature at five badgillion DEGREES KELVIN"
  • "Computer, end program!" - "Unable to comply. Holodeck controls are offline."
  • "You have violated a direct order."
  • "Beam them up!" - "I can't get a lock on them. "There is too much interference from the (MacGuffin)"
  • "I may have found a way to..." (CHAOS ENSUES)
